Pricing for maid service depends on the type of visit, not the neighborhood. A regular maintenance cleaning starts at $125. A deep clean, which spends more time on baseboards, grout, and buildup a regular visit skips, starts at $139. A move cleaning, done in an empty unit before or after a move, starts at $185. Exact size and condition of the home set the final quote.
Most Santa Monica clients book a regular visit every two or four weeks and add a deep clean once a year or before hosting guests. First-time customers who want the home fully reset usually start with the deep clean, then switch to the regular visit for upkeep after that. A quote is given before the crew arrives, so there is no surprise at the door.
Local factors
Santa Monica sits right on the coast, and that changes what a cleaning crew deals with. Sand gets tracked in from the beach and settles into entryways and rugs. Salt air leaves a film on windows, mirrors, and metal fixtures faster than it would a few miles inland. Ocean humidity also means dust and grime build up on surfaces sooner, even in a home that looks tidy.
Access is the other local wrinkle. Many Santa Monica addresses are condos or apartment buildings with guest parking rules, gate codes, or a doorman to check in with. What's not included
A maid visit is light, routine cleaning, not restoration or repair work. We do not clean mattresses or upholstery, and we do not shampoo carpets; a specialty carpet and upholstery cleaner handles that kind of job. We also do not run pressure washing on exteriors, driveways, or patios, which falls under a power-washing contractor instead.
Gutter cleaning, pest control, and mold remediation are outside the scope too. Gutters need a ladder crew set up for roof work, pests need a licensed exterminator, and mold beyond a light surface wipe needs a remediation company with the right equipment and testing. If a home needs one of these, we can point a client to someone who does that work.
