The price

What Apartment Cleaning Costs in LA.

Apartment cleaning in Los Angeles is priced by the layout, not by the hour. A studio and a one-bedroom are both $125 on a regular schedule — that is the floor, and small units sit on it. Above the floor the layout decides: a two-bedroom two-bath is $165. These are the totals we quote — the same numbers the booking form shows before you confirm, and nothing is added without asking you first.

LayoutSq ftEvery 2 weeksDeep cleanMove out
Studio450–550$125$159$209
1bd / 1ba600–750$125$209$260
1bd / 2ba850–1000$149$289$349
2bd / 1ba800–950$135$245$315
2bd / 2ba1000–1150$165$315$390
3bd / 2ba1200–1400$199$365$469
3bd / 2.5ba1350–1550$220$419$520

The middle column is the every-two-weeks rate. Deep clean and move out are one-off visits. A deep clean of a two-bedroom takes about 3 h on site with a two-person crew.

The thing nobody tells you

Bathrooms Cost More Than Bedrooms.

Renters compare apartments by bedrooms, so that is what people expect to drive the price. It does not. Going from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom adds $10 to the regular rate. Adding a second bathroom adds $30 — about 3 times as much for a room a third of the size.

The reason is simple: a bedroom is floor, surfaces and a bed to work around. A bathroom is grout, glass, hard water, a toilet and a mirror, and it has to be done to a standard nobody argues about. The same holds at the other end of the list — a one-bedroom with two baths is $24 more than a one-bedroom with one.

If you are choosing between two units and cleaning is part of your monthly budget, count the bathrooms.

The first visit

Why the First Clean Costs More.

An apartment that has not had a professional clean in a while needs a reset before upkeep makes sense, so the first visit is priced by how long it has been. For a one-bedroom that is $135 if it has been two to four weeks, $170 if it has been four to six, and $209 for a full deep clean. After that first visit you are on the $125 recurring rate.

Nobody is upselling you here — the ladder exists because the first visit in a neglected kitchen genuinely takes twice as long as the fifteenth one, and pretending otherwise is how hourly quotes end in an argument.

Apartments, not houses

What Is Different About a Building.

Getting in

A lockbox, a front-desk key or a code is normal and costs nothing extra. What we do need is the real access story before the first visit — a locked garage nobody mentioned is the one thing that turns a booked slot into a missed one.

Building hours and HOA rules

Some buildings limit service hours or require the freight elevator to be booked. Tell us and we schedule inside those windows.

Balconies

An LA balcony collects more dust than any room inside. It is not part of the standard clean — ask for it and we quote it.

Moving out

Move out is its own price because it is inspected: inside cabinets, inside the oven, inside the fridge. For a one-bedroom that is $260 against the $209 deep clean. Details are in our move out cleaning cost guide.

FAQs

Quick Answers.

How much does apartment cleaning cost in Los Angeles?

Studios and one-bedrooms are both $125 on a regular every-two-weeks schedule — that is our minimum for a visit. A two-bedroom two-bath is $165, a three-bedroom two-bath $199. Those are upfront totals shown before you book, not hourly estimates.

Why is a two-bathroom apartment more expensive than a two-bedroom one?

Because bathrooms take the time. A second bedroom adds $10 to the regular rate; a second bathroom adds $30.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. The price is set by the layout and fixed before the visit. A crew that finishes faster does not cost you less, and one that takes longer does not cost you more.

Why does the first visit cost more than the ones after it?

The first clean in a home that has not had one is a reset, and it is priced by how long it has been: two to four weeks, four to six, or a full deep clean. For a one-bedroom that is $135, $170 or $209. After it you are on the $125 recurring rate.

Do I need to be home?

No. Most apartment visits run on a lockbox code or a key left with the building. Tell us how to get in and whether the building limits service hours.

Is a move out clean the same as a deep clean?

No, and it costs more: $260 against $209 for a one-bedroom. A move out is done in an empty unit and inspected by someone looking for a reason to keep part of your deposit, so cabinets, the oven and the fridge are cleaned inside.
