How Much Does House Cleaning Cost in Los Angeles in 2026?

What will a cleaner in Los Angeles actually cost? A straightforward 2026 guide to standard, deep and move-out pricing — and how to save.

Published 2026-06-14 · VAST Cleaning

Every cleaning company in Los Angeles answers this question with a range and a shrug. We publish the actual numbers instead, because a price you cannot see before you book is not a price — it is a negotiation you have not had yet.

What a recurring clean costs. These are the upfront rates we charge on an every-two-weeks schedule, by home layout: a 1 bed / 1 bath apartment is $125, a 2 bed / 2 bath is $165, a 3 bed / 2 bath house is $220, and a 3 bed / 2.5 bath two-storey is $265. Nothing is added without asking you first and nothing is priced by the hour.

Why the first visit usually costs more. A home that has not had a professional clean in a while needs a reset before upkeep makes sense. That first visit is priced by how long it has been: 2 to 4 weeks, 4 to 6 weeks, or a full deep clean. For that same 3 bed / 2 bath house the first visit runs $275, $340 or $419 depending on which of the three it is — and after it, you are on the $220 recurring rate.

Move-out is its own price. Move-out cleaning is deeper than a deep clean because everything is empty and everything gets inspected: inside cabinets, inside the oven, inside the fridge. A 1 bed apartment is $260, a 2 bed / 2 bath house $445, a 3 bed / 2 bath house $520.

The full price list. These are the totals we quote for the most common layouts in Los Angeles. Recurring is the every-two-weeks rate; deep clean and move-out are one-off prices.

Prices are the same numbers our booking form shows before you confirm — there is no separate quote and nothing is added without asking you first. Interior windows, blinds and laundry are add-ons priced per item.

What the price actually buys

“How much does cleaning cost” is really two questions, and the second one decides whether the first answer means anything: cost of what. Our standard clean is a fixed list of 28 checks across the kitchen, the bathrooms and every room — cabinet fronts, inside and outside the microwave, the stove top and vent hood, countertops, the outside of the oven and fridge, and so on through the whole home. A deep clean is a longer list, 40 checks, and adds the things a regular visit does not reach.

This is where a cheap quote usually hides. A lower number with a shorter list is not a better price — it is a different job. Ask what is on the list before comparing.

How often you clean changes the price

The less often you clean, the more each visit costs, because more has built up since the last one. Same home, four options:

How often3bd / 2ba house2bd / 2ba apartment
Every two weeks$220$165
Every three to four weeks$275$225
Every four to six weeks$340$275
One-off deep clean$419$315

Two things follow from that table. A home cleaned every two weeks costs less per visit than the same home cleaned monthly — the recurring rate is not a loyalty discount, it is what the work actually takes when nothing has accumulated. And the one-off deep clean is the most expensive option per visit, which is why it makes sense as a first visit and rarely as a habit.

How long a visit takes

A three-bedroom, two-bathroom house on the recurring rate is about 135 minutes of work, and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment about 100. We send two technicians, so the crew is in the home for roughly half of that. The number matters when you are comparing an hourly quote: an hourly rate only tells you the price if you also know the hours.

Add-ons, with the prices

Most companies list add-ons and then ask you to call for the price. Here they are:

Add-onPrice
Inside the oven$49
Inside the fridge$49
Inside cabinets and drawers$49
Organizing$49
Laundry and folding$20
Dishes$20
TV and monitor screens$10
Eco-friendly productsfree
Pets at homefree

Eco-friendly products and letting us know about pets cost nothing — they are choices, not upsells. Interior windows and blinds are priced per item and depend on size and material; those are set out in a separate piece, what each window and blind costs.

What actually moves the number. Bedrooms and bathrooms, not square footage — a 2,000 sq ft house with two bathrooms takes less time than a 1,400 sq ft house with three. After that: how long since the last clean, and whether anyone lives there during the work. Add-ons like interior windows and blinds are priced per item, so you can see them separately rather than folded into a vague total.

The cheapest quote in Los Angeles is rarely the real price. An hourly rate with no cap means the total is unknown until the crew leaves. Ask any company for the full price of your exact home before booking; if they cannot give it, that is the answer.

FAQs

Quick Answers.

Is deep cleaning worth it?

Yes for the first visit or a neglected home; then recurring standard cleaning keeps costs down.

Do prices include supplies?

At VAST, yes — we bring professional equipment and supplies.

How can I lower the cost?

Book recurring service and use the refer-a-friend $25 credit.

What is the going rate for house cleaning in Los Angeles?

Most LA companies land between $35 and $60 an hour per cleaner. VAST charges $98 an hour for a two-person crew — that is $49 per cleaner — with a $125 minimum per visit. The total is fixed before the crew arrives, so an hourly rate is not something you have to watch.

How much do house cleaners cost for a one-time visit?

A one-time standard clean starts at $125. A three-bedroom, two-bathroom home that was cleaned within the last two weeks is usually $220 and takes about two hours fifteen minutes with two cleaners.

How much is a deep house cleaning?

Deep cleaning starts at $419 for a three-bedroom home that has not had a professional clean in a while. It covers baseboards, vents, limescale, inside the oven and the fridge — the work a standard visit does not include.

How much does move in or move out cleaning cost?

Move-out cleaning for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom single-story house is $520; a one-bedroom apartment is $260. It is built to the deposit-back standard: cabinets emptied and wiped, oven and fridge inside, window tracks.

Are house cleaning rates different for apartments?

Yes, because the work is smaller. A one-bedroom apartment is $125 on a recurring schedule, a two-bedroom two-bathroom is $165. The same homes deep cleaned are $209 and $315.
